Disposable Microfluidics Lab Card Development

Micronics offers unique capabilities based on its intellectual property as well as its use of thin film plastic laminates and stamp cutting for lab card development. Micronics offers

  • Passively driven microfluidic structures - making fluids flow with gravity, absorption, and capillary action without additional driving mechanisms
  • Microfluidic polymeric structures - three-dimensional circuits, sample/reagent input, cell lysing, mixing, on-card valving, cell and particle focusing, and hybrid circuit structures (polymers, glass, metals, silicon, etc.)
  • Rapid prototyping - complex fluidic modeling, efficient polymer laminate prototyping, designing for high volume production

While many applications of microfluidics apply to disposable lab cards the size of a credit card or smaller, the Company's expertise also extends to incorporation of microfluidics in 96 well/384 well plates as well as other shapes and sizes. Micronics is best known for its use of thin film plastic laminates in the rapid production of prototype lab cards, but the Company can provide injection molding and other services as required.
